Vancouver Community Library

Vancouver Community Library will be the central branch for the Fort Vancouver Regional Library.  At 83,000 sf the new building will more triple the size of the current building and will serve as a centerpiece to downtown Vancouver.

Through a partnership with JRT Mechanical, American Heating installed all the dry side mechanical components for this project.  Nearly 3,200 feet of ductwork was installed for this project.  The building features an underfloor  air distribution system allowing patrons to control their individual comfort level.  Displacement ventilation was also used to further the comfort level.

Oregon College of Oriental Medicine

Occupying the former Globe Hotel, Oregon College of Oriental Medicine will be an adaptive reuse of the historic building.  OCOM’s relocation will create a state of the art academic, clinic and research facility that will house a full time staff and nearly 360 students.

A Mitsubishi City-Multi system was chosen to condition the indoor space due to its versatility and reliability.  92 tons of cooling spread among 53 indoor fan coils keep the 5 floors of this building at their optimum comfort level.

Resource Access Center

Resource Access Center is an 8-story facility located in the heart of downtown Portland.  Built for the Housing Authority of Portland, the RAC will provide a day center to help transition people out of homelessness, a 90 bed 24 hour shelter, and five floors of permanent housing with 130 studio apartments.

American Heating installed all the wet-side hydronics and dry-side mechanical components for this project. Six large custom air handlers were installed to condition the building.  Condensing boilers and heat recovery technology was also used to ensure building energy efficiency.

A state of the art Trane building management system was also installed by AHI to serve the building.

Mercy Corps

Located in downtown Portland’s Old Town district, the Mercy Corps project consisted of renovating 40,000 sf of the existing Packard Scott Building and an addition of 42,000 sf.

American Heating installed the Mitsubishi City Multi VRF system for this project which includes (13) outdoor heat pumps and (61) indoor fan coils. American Heating also programmed and installed the Mitsubishi control system to serve the building.

Three highly efficient Aaon packaged heat recovery units were also installed on the roof to serve the building. Nearly 8,000 feet of refrigerant piping was installed.
