New Seasons Markets

New Seasons is a locally-owned organic food market with 10 locations in Oregon. New Seasons’ customer-friendly designs have allowed them to adapt to urban environments and create a centerpiece of local neighborhoods.

American Heating, Inc. served as the design / build contractor on six of the 10 stores. We also installed the mechanical system on three stores that were designed by Interface Engineering.

New Seasons Markets strives to be environmentally conscious and sustainable. Through the use of highly efficient mechanical systems, these markets use less energy and have a drastically reduced carbon footprint.

***New Seasons 11th store located at Progress Ridge in Beaverton, OR is currently in the design phase. This will be the 10th store that American Heating has proudly been involved with.***

Les Schwab Corporate HQ

Les Schwab relocated their corporate headquarters to Bend, OR in 2008. Their new 123,000 sf building houses offices, conference rooms, kitchens, locker rooms and a data center. Many energy conservation features were incorporated into the design.

Les Schwab contracted with American Heating to perform the mechanical install for this building. This enormous building is served by ten rooftop A/C units feeding an underfloor air distribution system that maximizes employee comfort. Two CRAC units and a roof mounted dry cooler handle the sizeable cooling load of the data center.

American Heating also installed a start-of-the-art Trane DDC system to serve this project. The Trane system provides building control through a single integrated interface allowing total control of the building’s indoor environment.

The Matisse

Located in Portland’s South Waterfront, The Matisse is a multifamily mixed use project featuring 274 apartments with ground floor retail and a sub grade parking structure.

American Heating installed the Mitsubishi City Multi VRF for this project which included (34) outdoor heat pumps and (580) indoor fan coils. Over 10,000 feet of refrigerant piping was installed to serve the system. American Heating also designed, programmed and installed the Mitsubishi control system for The Matisse. In addition to the VRF system, American Heating also installed all ductwork, fans and rooftop units.

In order to comply with all the LEED requirements, all ductwork was capped at the end of each day to prevent construction dust from entering the HVAC system.
